After a long break Nischay team came together last saturday (4th April) to organize a entertainment program @ Mother Teresa Home for the Aged at Santacruz W.

The event was a success and hopefully Nischay would organise a few more in the coming days. Complete updates on the Nischay Orkut Community (Special thanks to Mr & Mrs Sheth for guiding us for this event i.e. @kunalsheth’s parents).

Also something I wanted to post since long: Nischay coverage in One India One People Magazine.

Hi Friends

I just received the copy of One India One People Magazine which features my article on ‘Gizmos in India: 2008′ as one of the Cover Stories. See here

Though I wouldn’t be able to publish the original article on any of my sites (OG, IP or here) but the article speaks about the changing trends in technology. From the time when we used to wait for our friends or relatives to get the latest gadgets from Dubai to today where the latest in Technology is released in India along with the global launch. Also is a short review of the gizmos we will see in India this year, the iPhone 3G, Asus EEE, SE Xperia, and the Yamaha R15 … !

So do you favor getting a girl, aged around 10 years; speaking about her dead dad on TV? Talking about taking revenge from the terrorists? Come on, How sick can you get for TRP’s! These are times when you should leave kids alone, instead of luring them with a interview on TV, just hours after they lost someone dear.

Here I found a useful guide about Traumatized Kids:

Should I talk about the traumatic event?

Do not be afraid to talk about the traumatic event. Children do not benefit from ‘not thinking about it’ or ‘putting it out of their minds.’ If a child senses that her caregivers are upset about the event, she will not bring it up. In the long run, this only makes the child’s recovery more difficult. A good rule of thumb is to let the child guide when you talk about it. If the child doesn’t ask about or mention it, don’t bring it up on your own, but when the child brings it up or seems to be thinking about it, don’t avoid discussion.
