This mail comes to you with a purpose. As you already know, the competition is only for the Bloggers who had certain association with Mumbai. Ham bambai wasi hai bachpan se. Yaha hi pale bade hai.
The blog annkur.com is my personal blog, and having been in Mumbai since childhood I am very much mumbaikar. Such that even MNS cannot refute.
In the last 10 years I have spent over 99.99% of my time in Mumbai. Probably more than Googles Guranteed uptime. (Plz calculate 10yrs – 7 days to get the ratio).
- So the girls I write about are Mumbaikars https://annkur.com/tag/girls/
- The police and Law and order I refer to, is as in Mumbai https://annkur.com/2008/07/maintaining-law-and-order-isnt-easy-or-is-it/
- I watch Movies in Mumbai Multiplexes https://annkur.com/2009/02/zero-1/
- The photos I click are Mumbai Skies https://annkur.com/2008/12/moon-venus-jupiter-caught-on-camera/
And If you didn’t realise the ultimate proof. You asked for a simple reply and I gave a full डेड शयाना mumbaiya reply 😉
Startup Saturdays / HeadStart – What? Why? How?
Many of you would have been receiving mail from me inviting you to something called ‘Startup Saturdays’. Over the past few years I have been associated with a variety of events – from DJ nites (when I was in college) to NGO activities (Nischay). Over the past few months I have come across this amazing group called HeadStart.
So what is HeadStart? What exactly is StartupSaturday? Why is annkur here? How is it relevant to you/me? – I would take this opportunity to answer all these for you today!
Mr Ohio – Agra Trip
Guest post by my lovely sister: Anchal
Our journey to Delhi (coming back from Agra) was adventurous. Highly frustrated with the long wait at the Agra Railway Station…OMG our train was over an hour late. Bearing the heat was the biggest fear. We managed to find a seat in an air conditioned waiting room. I doubt if the AC was switched on. Anyways, after a long wait, we went to the platform to discover a non Indian chap even more frustrated. Hehe and Annkur couldn’t have missed clicking him; and, why not? They make movies on Indian slums, we just got a picture.
Why geeks are worth it!
Now this is a really nice one that someone forwarded me on SU …

Delhi / Agra trip in Pictures
Went on a short trip to Delhi and Agra last week. Loads to write about it … but here is the best way to describe it 🙂 – In Pictures
Getting electric shocks :(
Ok so after much delay I have started some physiotherapy sessions to fix that strained ankle (and now knee). And just into my second day @physiotherapy they give me electric shocks! supposedly to strengthen the muscles.
{I swear, I didn’t flirt with the nurses here, so this must really be a part of the treatment 😛 }
